Book Review

One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish By Dr.Seuss

Do you like Dr.Seuss? If you do then this book is good for you

The story takes place in many places, under the clear blue water, in the boy and girls town, and
in a giant, unusual house. My favourite setting is in the town. There are more pages about
the town so there are more rhymes to be heard and pictures to be seen. The book is not hard
to read and the rhymes and the pictures makes me laugh.

Dr.Seuss is also the illustrator so he connects to the story. On every page there
is a new, unusual creature that the reader can see.  Each time there is a new creature
there is a new rhyme on the page. There's two main characters, one boy and one girl, but their
names are never mentioned.

The genre for this book is fiction.  It is funny and unusual. It rhymes to get people to
learn to recognise word patterns. The story is funny because the pictures are crazy. I can read
it all by myself.

I think that this book would be good for kids that struggle with reading and for people that like
to laugh. I struggle with reading myself and this book was good when I was struggling at
a young age. Dr.Seuss is great for making you calm while reading because if you get stuck
on a page then you can turn the page and uncover a new, unusual character

Mind Mapping DLO

ISS

I am learning to locate the main ideas within the text.
I will have been successful in my reading when:

  • I have read each of these articles
  • I have written two or three complete paragraphs to summarise the key ideas within these three articles.

The International Space Station (ISS) is used for many scientific experiments. Taking advantage of weightlessness conditions in orbit, scientists are able to study many things that cannot easily be studied on Earth. The Columbus lab is ESA's main contribution to the ISS. About 6.5 metres long and 4.5 metres wide, the cylinder-shaped lab enables up to three astronauts to work in pleasant, shirtsleeve conditions. Biolab, where experiments take place on cell tissues, small plants and animals
  • A Fluid Science Laboratory, in which scientists study the behaviour of liquids in weightlessness
  • A facility to study the properties of metals
  • Modules where the effects of microgravity on the human body are studied
Other experiments are placed on platforms outside Columbus. Two ESA astronauts, Léopold Eyharts of France and Hans Schlegel of Germany, were on board to install and activate the lab.

Setting up an experiment in the European Columbus laboratory Construction of the International Space Station, the largest object ever to orbit Earth, is now almost completed. One of the main areas of interest is biological research.ESA’s Biolab is used for experiments on micro-organisms, cells, tissue cultures, small plants and small invertebrates, such as worms and crayfish.
