Day and I woke up in Wellington at 6am which is very early for us so it was hard to get out of bed but I got there in the end. In Wellington at 6.30am was surprisingly busy good that we were going on the ferry. The ferry crossing was sooo flat on the ferry we watched a move so time went past fast. When Dad and I got of the ferry we drove for four hours to get to Greymouth 😃.

Day13
Dad and I started today with a 40 minute drive to a lake to see Andrew and his kids, we went on the biscuit because I miss our ones. Dad and I tried to knee board on the body board, I got up for a wee bit but it was to windy and slippery. Dad hopped in to try it but on the first go he tried to get up but he snapped the board in half. After the lake we drove to Taupo where there is a camping ground that has the only pool in NZ that has a swim up bar. So we got the tent up and went for a swim the water was so warm, it was a giant pool and had jets on one end and a movie screen with speakers so we could watch a movie while swimming, there was a 4 meter deep part in a man mad cave. By the way the pool is outside, the 4 meter deep part had a treasure chest at the bottom. The bar did food so we had pizza in the pool for dinner.

Day 11
We woke up in Andrews house for the last time.Dad and I went to look at water world which is a obstacle course on the water but it was to windy to do it, it was pretty sad (fun fact: we went to a similar place to water world in Australia it was very fun) After that problem we decided to head of to Rotorua where there is lots of activities. We decided to go to OGO Zorb Ball where you get pushed of a hill onto a track Dad and I went in one together and a bit of water. Surprisingly you sat in it and you only move when you want to move. We went down a straight normal track and we went down the longest track in the world which is zige zage track. Then we went the last track and the scariest track is the fastest track in the world but when you thought it was over its not IT IS THE STEEPEST TRACK IN THE WORLD!!!!

After that we took Mum to a bike shop in Mt. Eden for a few running repairs to make things a little more comfortable on her bike. Then we dropped mum off at the top of Mt Eden (fun fact if you didn't now Mt Eden is one of the old volcanoes that Auckland is built on) After we dropped Mum off Dad and I drove three hours to Hot Water Beach. But it wasn't low tide so we couldn't dig a hole to find hot water so we are going to do it in the morning.

We started off in Kaiwaka and then we left there to go to Wellsford for breakfast. I had french toast with banana bacon and maple syrup, it was very good. Then we went on the road to travel to Auckland. Once we started getting close to Auckland there was a pretty big traffic jam but we got through it in about 15 minutes and dropped Ellie off at her university halls. After that, while Ellie and I went down to Timezone and played some games, dad went to pick up Zoe from the airport for a Bruno Mars concert with Ellie on Tuesday. Later on we walked down to the bottom of queens street to the water front and went to eat at a place called the Crab Shack for a nice seafood meal. I had a seafood chowder and dad got a king crab leg on top of his steak. Then we walked back up to our hotel which is called the Sky City hotel, underneath the Sky Tower.

A Big Day
A Big Day
I woke up at 4am this morning to travel from Pukenui to Cape Reinga for the start of Mums bike tour. After mum had taken off on her bike, we walked down to the lighthouse and took lots of photos.
After this we drove down to Ninety mile beach. While driving along the beach we saw lots of sand dunes. Half way down the beach we stopped so that I could bodyboard down the sand dunes. I had to climb all the way up a big sand dune before running and jumping on the body board and sliding all the way down.
Next we went to Mangonui to have a quick look around. There was a motorcycle meetup going on here so there was motorcycles parked all around the streets.
Afterwards we drove around the bay to Hihi, which is where Dad lived until he was 12. He told us lots of stories about what he did when he was growing up here.
We then drove another two hours to Waipoua Forest where we went for a walk to see the Lord of the forest, Tane Mahuta, the giant Kauri tree. It caught me by surprise how big he was! Before we went in to see Tane Mahuta we had to clean the bottom of our shoes because there is a disease killing Kauri trees and we would not like for people in the future to not be able to see the great tree.

Next we traveled an hour and a half
to spend the night at a
motel in Kaiwaka.
