Insect Statistical Investigation
Insects Statistical Investigation
Question for investigation: What species and how many are found under different rocks around the school?
First place is to look for different species is at the top of the stairs near the office.
Second place is the bottom of the bush track.
Third place is the top of the bush track.
What are we most likely to find? Spiders, earwigs, cockroaches, slugs, snails, beetles and maggots.
We used an i-pad to record our findings and marked our findings down on our tally chart.
Insect Statistical Investigation
In conclusion, this insect statistical investigation shows that there are more landhoppers than, spiders, beetles and earwigs combined. This most likely because of the season, the rocks we lifted and how many rocks we lifted up.
This also means that we should all be aware of the variety of ecosystems in our environment.

Transformation Using Grids
Using the EXPLORE tool, chose an image that you can copy onto a grid and make it small enough to fit in the top right corner
Using the INSERT - TABLE tool, add a 5x5 table to your page.
Decrease the size of the table to match the size of the image.
Repeat step 2, but this time make the table fit on the left side of the page.
Using the LINE tool, copy the original image onto the larger table.
Add colour and shading to make your image look the same as the one you are copying
Using slide 6 write a quality blog post and use at least one of
your images as your DLO.

The Amazing Adventures Of Super Stan
On the 7th of August in the afternoon we watched The Amazing Adventures Of
Super Stan featuring Grey Main school students. This event was held at Grey
Main school.

Main school.
It started with an invite from Grey Main school to go to a dress rehearsal on the 7th
of August. So fast forward a little and there we were, on the bus, going to Grey Main.
When we got there we went straight into the hall. The play started off with
Super Stan fighting the bogeyman and he beat the bogeyman. But DC, Stan’s
friend, said to him (“ stop daydreaming “)

The scene switched to Proton Park with the Candy King who gave the mayor
free stuff. The citizens got evil gobstoppers that made them controllable by a
controller. Stan and his friends find Curly and Wurly controlling the citizens. Granny
told Stan that he had half a serum of Formula 44. If he had one more half he could
be a superhero. Stan got the injection and got Grandad’s anti gravity underwear.

Super Stan went to the Candy King's lair where he found Curly and Wurly. They told
him everything. After fighting off the minions and shrinking the Candy King, Super

I think that it was a very good dress rehearsal and it is going to be a good show.

Dear Ski Lift Operators
Thank you for supporting Karoro School with the amazing ski trip. I was one of the more advanced kids so I got to go up the top of the mountain and do whatever I wanted. Without you it wouldn't be possible for us or people on holiday to ski up the mountain.
I went up the magic carpet, poma, chairlift and t-bar. My favorite lift was the chairlift because you don't put any effort into your legs and back but when you get to the top you can do the Cat Track because of the jumps.
Once again thank you for the opportunity.

St John Response
Yesterday on the 3/9/19 we had a St John personal to come to Karoro School and teach us how to
do CPR and use a Defib.
do CPR and use a Defib.
The lady from St John's gave us a card which had the doctors a b c d. D=danger this means look
for dangers and make sure there is nothing to hurt you. R= check for a response to do that “can you
hear me”. S= Send for help and see if they have a phone if you don't have one. A= check their airway
and if their stomach is rising. B= Check if they have normal breathing do this by listening and feeling.
C= Now if they don't respond to the other steps do CPR 30 compressions after that blow into mouth
two times. D= attach a defib if available and the defib will talk you through how to use it.

I really enjoyed the St John training it will be good if I got put in this situation.
Lincon
I Really enjoyed this because if someone in my family has had a heart attack and if they had one
at home I would know what to do. Also if I was put into this situation walking from school.

Refugees
In this task me and a couple of friends “tried” to make a poem like Brian
Bilston. When you read it down is is against refugees and when you read
it up you are for refugees.
Bilston. When you read it down is is against refugees and when you read
it up you are for refugees.
This poem is not made to offend anybody in anyway.
Refugees
They do not need our help
Do not tell us
These fake stories
These hungry faces
Cold blooded bombers
From both sides
Waiting for the right moment
To seek rights
To risk freedoms
Locals are causing havoc
With there dirty little lies
They are Escaping from disaster
No power no water
Don't give them anything
You say.
(Now read from bottom to top)
The Refugee poem was created by Max, Grace and Sam
this poem was made to make people think that he is against
Refugees but if you read the last line it states (Now read
from bottom to top) than it read like he is for Refugees.
